Hello my ATL people! Just checkin in with ya and letting you know what I’ve been doing in my not so busy life.
Ever since the season ended, I’ve been home in Michigan chillin with the fam and friends. I just started to work out again. I took a few weeks off so the old body could have a little break.
I go up to Michigan State and work out there. It’s only about 15 minutes from my house so it’s not a bad drive at all. But other than that, I’ve just been a bum, hanging out and catching up with my friends from high school and college and visiting my relatives. So it’s been real nice to be at home for a little while and be with my loved ones who don’t see me very often.
Just recently I was able to go to a Barack Obama rally on campus at Michigan State. I’m really not into politics too much, but since our economy is so bad and this is such an important election, I decided to just go to the rally and check out what it’s like. And plus, this is kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity! So the rally was at 2:30 and the gates opened at 11:30. By 12:30, the field where it was held was already packed. People were lined up down the street waiting to go through the metal detectors to get onto the field. There ended up being 18,000 people at the rally. They had security people on top of the buildings with binoculars making sure it was safe and what not throughout the day. It was crazy , I had no idea what to expect.
Some friends and I got there around 1 and of course we didn’t have to wait in line and we were able to go up front where Obama was.
His speech was amazing and at times I got some chills. It’s a lot better to see it in person than watch it on TV but I guess that’s how it is in sports too. I will never forget that experience. So ever since then, I have watched the presidential debates and I’m more interested in the presidential race. It’s good to be aware because of how important our next president will be.
Even though I love being home, I’m ready to go overseas and get back on the court. I will be back in Hotlanta until Christmas working out with some of the players still here and our strength coach. Then hopefully in January, I’ll be able to get a job overseas. Well that’s all I got for you all at this moment, so take care and God Bless! And don’t forget to vote!!!!
Love,
Krit

Hello Kristin! Glad to see that you have a chance to take it easy! But seriously, playing in Europe and playing in the WNBA can wear someone out. Take care of yourself, avoid mobs and let us know where you’ll be playing in Europe or Asia! (I’ll also have to let your other fans know about your blog entry!)
